To get the most out of your Snowy Mountains ministay, our team of destination experts have included a guided walking snowshoe experience. No snowshoe experience is necessary, your guide will provide the equipment, teach you the basics and take you on a walk based on your fitness level, through spectacular Snowy Mountains scenery.
The rest of your ministay has been left open for you to explore this amazing alpine environment at your leisure. Options include snowplay fun, enjoying a lazy pub lunch, taking photos or a skiing lesson and activity.

You'll be immersed in the alpine experience here, relaxing with fellow guests in the lounge by the fire and enjoying the unique alpine ambience. The lodge is warm and welcoming with central heating, a friendly lodge host, a spacious lounge with fire, a tv room with ping pong table and a drying room for snow gear.
Your ministay itinerary
Arrival Day
Check into your warm Snowy Mountains ski lodge. On arrival at Perisher Valley you will be transferred to your accommodation by oversnow vehicle.
Enjoy some free time to explore the area, relax or play a game.
At 5:30pm meet your lodge host and fellow guests in the lounge for après snacks. Take advantage of your Destination Getaways drinks voucher and let your Snowy Mountains tasting begin.
At 7pm you'll move into the dining room where you will be served a delicious 3 course dinner.
After dinner, perhaps enjoy an optional nightcap or a local organic tea or coffee by the fire before retiring to your comfortable guestroom for a relaxing nights sleep.

Guided Waliking Snowshoe Experience
Start the day off with a hearty hot breakfast with cold selections before meeting your experienced guide. Your guide will provide snowshoe equipment and offer basic instructions before taking you on the most amazing journey, walking among the vibrant snow gums past crystal clear creeks and out into the pristine landscapes beyond the resort boundaries.
After a spectacular day exploring the wonders of the Snowy Mountains you will return to your mountain lodge with ample time for a warm shower and freshen up before après in the lounge by the fire.
At 7pm indulge in a delicious 3 course dinner served in the dining room.
After dinner, relax in the lounge or rug up and head outside to enjoy spectacular stargazing.

Yulefest Dinners and Lillördag
Celebrate winter with Yulefest in the Snowy Mountains in June. Stay on a Saturday night and enjoy a fun and festive Yule Dinner. Stay on a Wednesday night for Lillördag in-house trivia and cocktails.
Additional Days
Get outdoors and explore the remote mountain village of Perisher Valley. Try tobogganing, have a snowball fight, make a snow angel, build a snowman or snow sculpture. Take the train to Blue Cow for a magnificent views. Enjoy a lazy lunch at one of the many pubs, cafes or on mountain venues. Add in another activity such as a cross country ski experience or purchase your own lift ticket and snowboard or ski at Perisher Resort.
Back indoors play table tennis, board games, relax and enjoy the scenery.

Departure Day
After a delicious breakfast, say farewell to your lodge hosts, explore some more or head home, feeling refreshed and full of inspiration. An oversnow transfer back to the Perisher Skitube Terminal is included to meet your private car or skitube.

Yulefest in the Snowy Mountains
Valhalla Lodge in the NSW Snowy Mountains holds an annual celebration of winter featuring fun and festive Yule Dinners and midweek Lillördag celebrations. The Yule Dinners are a Viking inspired twist on Christmas in July. The halls of Valhalla are decked with Yuletide trimmings for the entire month of June. Yule Dinner festivities start from 5pm in the lounge with a complimentary glass of warm Viking mead (guests 18yrs and over) and nibbles by the fire. Just sit back and enjoy the festivities or take part in the fun and games. Try your hand at hnefatafl, uncover your path with a rune reading, have an indoor snowball fight. At 7pm you'll feast in the dining hall with friends new and old, on a delicious 3 course Yule dinner.
